Soil Strength Probe
The Soil Strength Probe is a simple and easy tool used mainly for the purposes of (1.) Layer thickness measurement, (2.) Penetration test and (3.) Shear test.
- Layer thickness measurement Layer thickness can be roughly measured by pushing a rod (φ10mm) with a penetration cone statically into the ground
- Penetration test Soil type, layer strength and layer thickness can be roughly measured by pushing a rod (φ10mm) with a penetration cone statically into the ground using a spring-type load meter.
- Shear test Internal friction and cohesion at a site are measured by pushing a penetration cone with a wing (vane cone) into a target depth and, then, by checking press force and rotation torque.
Features
- Light and easy measurement tool for layer thickness, layer strength and so on
- Tests can be carried out easily in a short time because of its portability and simplicity
- It can be applied in a wide range of applications
